Staff Spotlight: Stephen Karmondy
Q: How long have you been at Inroads to Opportunities and could you tell us more about your position?
A: I have been working at Inroads as a Mental Health Counselor since July 2018, so about 3.5 years. The main parts of my position include running group and individual mental health counseling sessions, with a caseload of mental health clients as well as following an additional caseload of Extended Employment clients.
Q: What parts of our mission do you connect with?
A: The deepest connection I have with our mission is helping people pursue their goals and assisting them in living the most independent and meaningful lives they can.
Q: What is your team like?
A: Our team in the mental health department all depend on each other and work together to make sure all of our participants receive the services they need to maintain their progress in their recovery. Everyone goes above and beyond to help support each other especially when things get busy.
Q: What 3 words best describe Inroads to Opportunities?
A: Progress, community, support.
Q: Tell us something that people don’t know about you
A: I ran a Marathon in 2021.
Q: What’s the most unique part about working here?
A: The most unique part about working here is that you can walk into any room and at least 10 people will say hello to you and call you by name.
